the mere mention of these initials... DOUBLE B... 

(they always said "B.B" in French, really; 

sort of like BEBE... BABY, in that language) 

could only bring to mind one person 

and one person only ~ her: 

SAINTE 

ou 

PECHERESSE 

SANS VERGOGNE?!
