Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca
Maria De Medeiros offers an incredible perfomance as the aristocratic revolutionary Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca, who became a heroine in the short lived 1799 Neapolitan Republic. Her story is brilliantly told and originally directed by Italian director Antonietta De Lillo.
''Remains of the Day'' was good -
"The Remains Of Nothing"
(Il resto di niente)
is mucho better!
I guess I'll have to ask you to view the clip; and if the clip is not available anymore, SEE THE FILM and do some research on my *surefire ancestor* here (ahem, ahem) and then make the call -
Eleonora Pimentel - was she a saint...or just another Marie-Antoinette? *lol*

Yeah - the post's label/tag reads "Maria de Medeiros as Eleanora PIMENTEL" and that's it, that's all!
I dropped the "Fonseca" - only kept the maiden name - for this lady E seems to be like a number of other Pimentel maidens who married someone BENEATH THEM!
Some relatives of mine ALLOWED the names of Canelho, Borges (...) and Rebelo to take precedence over their maiden names, upon tying the knot... Foregoing the name Pimentel in the sad process...
Well, not on my watch it won't be!
We'll systematically ditch the groom's names here - no hubby here, just the TRUE family name, ok?
;)
After all, as often evidenced with several other marriages and/or dalliances of all sorts (Terri Schiavo comes to mind as a glaring example) the ones who REALLY love you, UNCONDITIONALLY, damsels, are your FAMILY.
Not your hubby.
Unless your hubby is a guy like ME.

Oops - I made a typo on ELEONORA's name.
Sorry, ancestor lady!
Won't happen again!
:)
